Check Your Vibration!

A new client came to me for hypnosis to help him heal physically. He wrote to tell me that he's feeling better, and hopeful for the future, but having had many times in the past where his hopes were raised, only to be dashed by the health problems continuing, he's understandably gun-shy. Here's my answer to him:

I'm glad you're feeling hopeful, because the most important component of healing is your thoughts!

I can't remember if we spoke about Abraham, which is a channeled entity. You can go their website at Abraham-Hicks.com, and they have a free tape you can receive, etc.

Essentially it's the best teaching and training that I've found on how to use your thoughts to gain the desired results in your life - in other words, to manifest what you truly want, rather than what some other part of you is manifesting. (We do it all, the good and the bad!) So - you learn to state your intentions, and many other little tricks, to create what you want. But what's so important is their contention that if you can BE of the vibration of the thing that you desire, you must receive it! So if you as "not hopeful" are a vibration of say, a 3, and being well is a vibration of 10, well, it's not a match! So you set your intention and work on your thoughts to bring yourself to the vibration of being a 10, so you can bring to yourself, through the Law of Attraction, the healing that's a 10 vibration.

So - start now to "set your intention" that you'll be healed in the Spring or sooner! I just start saying phrases to myself, out loud if I'm alone, like "I intend to be happy, I intend to be healthy, I intend to have fun" etc etc. So you start intending "I intend to be healed, I intend to feel better, I intend for my mind to make me well, I intend to allow my body to regain perfect health" etc. Naturally, the positive phrases make a difference, but what's more important is the vibration that you attain by thinking such positive thoughts! You "raise your vibration" with positive thoughts, music, dancing, laughter, contentment, passion - all the positive emotions. If you know of a place that makes you feel better, imagine yourself there. If a person does it for you, pretend you're with them if you can't be for real.

Vibration is everything - in other words, you could intend NEGATIVE thoughts and attain the perfect vibration to match a negative thing! Actually, we humans do that all the time! It takes effort, and vigilance, because our natural inclination is to do the same old thing all the time, and that's generally pretty negative! We're doubtful, fearful, skeptical, cynical, logical, passive, apathetic, angry - well, you get the idea!

Anyway, I don't mean to lecture, but frankly if your thoughts DON'T become positive and raise your vibration, then no healing will be able to take place. So the thoughts are the key which you must master!

You can get books by Esther Hicks on Amazon, used, for cheaper than new, and I highly recommend anything by her or them - the lecture tapes are great, too.

Smells from the Other Side?

Hi Everyone - here's an interesting question I've received:

Hi Debbie,

I was looking over your blog page and I was hoping you could answer a question.

" Do certain smells signify death for someone near to us?"

My mother in-law had cigar smoke come to her in the night days before her husband passed. Just recently she smelled it again and even woke up her bird.

Any thoughts? Should she be scared?

My response:

I don't believe that smells automatically signify death, but perhaps could signify that someone on the Other Side is visiting. The sense of smell is something humans cannot block out or pretend they don't notice, unlike sight and hearing. So often those on the Other Side will use scent to get our attention and make us think of them, especially if it's a smell we associate with that person in particular. So I suppose if somewhere were to die shortly after smelling something like that, it could mean that the loved ones on the Other Side had been visiting to help that person to cross over, which I believe they do whether we are aware of it or not.

I don't think your mother-in-law has anything to worry about, but I don't believe in coincidences, so it's more likely that someone on the Other Side was visiting them before the husband died, and perhaps that same Spirit is visiting her again now. I think it indicates the visit, not the death!

Please let me know if you learn anything more about what's going on there!

My thanks to everyone for your interest in me and my blog, and best wishes for a lovely Thanksgiving!

Very Interesting!

I received an email from an old friend and she gave me permission to put it all here in the blog:

"Turns out my husband is addicted to pain pills and has been for about a year. I was clueless. He stopped and is getting counseling and help from family Dr. for his depression and anxiety. Life has been tough (lies, etc.) and time will tell if we make it through this.

Here's what happened this last week, and I'd like to know your FIRST thought as to what you think it means:

This past week I woke up on two different nights and, as my husband was lying next to me sleeping, I also saw him standing next to the bed (on his side of the bed, facing the bed).

When I thought about it after taking a shower this morning, I was overcome with emotion. (I won't say what popped in my head because I want to see what others get from this.)

What's your first thought on what it means?

Love you Deb - thanks for your input."

Here's my answer:

Well, first you need to remember that we all leave our bodies every night, it's called astral projection or soul travel. If he's dealing with lots of emotional issues, it's even more likely that he's leaving his body at night to access help and guidance from the other realms, such as his higher self, spirit guides, etc. That's a good thing!

But this mostly means to me that you're becoming more attuned, or psychic, or whatever you want to call it, since it's quite unusual for us to remember seeing people in their astral bodies (although we probably do it all the time - that's a lot like seeing dead people, only living people come back to the human body and dead people don't!).

I suspect you think that he's going to die, or something along those lines, which I don't agree with - not that it's impossible, of course, we could all go any minute, but that I don't think that's what you're witnessing. I think it's really about your own development, more than changes with him. Because I always believe that at some level we all know everything, some part of you was aware that he was lying and doing stuff all this time, but since you weren't ready for the information, you had to stifle it and mask your natural instincts. Now that you can stop "short circuiting" your intuition, you're probably enjoying a real reawakening of your own psychic abilities, including seeing him when he's out of the body. So - what else are you picking up? Just don't jump to conclusions...

A Question about Spirit Guides

Hi Everyone - for some reason, people are still coming to this link instead of my newest blog link on my website! So what I'll do is post on both - so it's like in stereo! (The new address is http://debrajcrossmanpsychicmedium.com/blog.html)

Here's a question and comment from Helen:

Helen said...

I would be very interested in knowing how you became aquainted with your spirit guides. I would also like to know what their lives were like and when they lived. Can they tell you their spiritual stage ? I had a reading at the Wayne County Museum and
was very pleased. Thanks for what you do for all of us!

Hi Helen - thanks for the compliment!

I became acquainted with my Spirit Guides when I first learned to meditate with a private teacher, who quickly learned that I was a "natural" medium, and who helped me to become a Trance Channeler. He had me come to know them quite well, and it was a real revelation to realize that the voices in my head, that I'd heard all my life, were actually "them" and not "me"!

To be honest, I don't know a great deal about my Guides lives, though. They've always impressed upon me that it's not about their individual aspects, but rather the group dynamic. They've never identified themselves as individuals, except for one Guide named Michael, and have always asked me to just consult them, and refer to them as "the Guides". They have consistently hammered in the notion that it's not the messenger, but the message, that matters, and therefore, they do not assert themselves as personalities. (And of course, that means it's not about ME either, I'm just a messenger, too!) And, when I tell people about their Guides and their names, and the lifetimes they had together, at the end they almost always tell the person to not focus just on that one Guide by name, but rather to call upon all their Guides for help. (One reason they give for that is to not limit yourself - if you ask Bob for help, maybe you're excluding Mary, who could really be the best helper in that moment! Also, we have all have so many Guides, we don't usually know them all or what they do!)

The exception for me has been Michael, who is my main Guide, and I actually didn't know a great deal about him until I had a very rough time in my life, years ago. He came through to me as a "real person" in the sense that he was my dearest friend, not just my teacher and helper and guide. At that time he told me a bit about our lives together, many of which were love relationships, parent and child, and teacher/student lifetimes. I also know that he is a Master Teacher, and perhaps even more than that, but always think of him, and see him, as my friend.

Thanks for the great question!

Hi everyone - I'm finally able to get on this blog to update it, they've been having a lot of technical difficulties this summer. Because of that, I've moved my blog to come off of my website page, so that's the one I'll be updating, and not this one any longer. Here's the address:

Obviously, my website is:

Hi everyone - sorry I haven't posted in a while, summer has been quite hectic! Hope you're all having fun and staying "tuned in"! Someone has posted a question:

"I have pretty good intuition but am interested in knowing if there is a way that I can get "feelings" about things more often. How do I develop stronger, more prevalent intuition? Thank you."

The only way that I know of to increase your intuition is to use it more often, on a regular basis, to make it become something that you not only recognize and can turn on and off, but that your critical, analytical mind won't censor and keep you from using. To do that, you need to ask yourself for a feeling, or hunch, or reaction other than your logic, when anything comes up that does not have an obvious and immediate answer. For example, when the phone rings, ask yourself first who it is - just quickly, without thinking, say to yourself "that's Mary" or "I bet that's Mom" before you pick it up. If you analyze it, then you're using the wrong side of the brain - the left side, or intellect. You need to jump right into your feelings, or senses, which is the right brain, and so it has to be quick and non-judgmental. You won't always be right, but the more you do it and you ARE right, then your inner self will start to know what information you're looking for, and where you might find it. Some people get a gut feeling literally in their stomach, while others get pictures or words in their mind. Sometimes it's almost a voice that you hear, or it might be a memory of something else. You'll start to recognize your own signs and symbols. A more advanced way to do this is to locate where in your brain you store your intuitions! Bring back to your memory an intuitive thought that you had, or even a dream, that you now know has come true and was accurate. Where, exactly, did you see that picture in your mind's eye? Where did you have a feeling in your body? Can you recreate the picture or feeling? Once you know the actual location that your mind uses to store or file the information, you can turn your attention to that spot to find new information! It's amazing, but it works - if you've ever heard of NLP, which stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming, it describes this and much more, it's very fascinating. In any case, try it - it works!

But, any time you have a feeling or hunch or picture, pay attention - the more you do, the more your intuitive self will trust that you're going to listen and pay attention, and thus you'll get more! Practice makes perfect, but it definitely gets easier.

Thanks for the question!
